Questions

Where to find movers?
You can always ask one of your neighbors or friends to refer some moving company to you, if you know they recently moved and that they were satisfied with the service. If not, just go online and start your research. Type in ‘movers near me’ and check their websites, call them and based on your budget and needs you will be able to decide what local movers are the best for your upcoming move.
How do movers charge?
Again something that depends on a moving company. Most of the local movers are charging the hourly rates with (usually) 3 hours of minimum. After that rates are prorated either to 15 minute increments or to 30 minute increments. Some moving companies might charge the flat rate. Whatever is the case, you need to be aware of all prices and services that are included in that price.
How many movers should I hire?
Every move is unique. The number of movers depends on the size of the move and items that you are planning to move. The best option would be to contact the moving company and explain your project so in that way you can get the best estimate for your size of the move.
Can the movers pack for you?
Yes, the movers can pack your smaller items into boxes as well. If you decide to only pack or to pack and move with our company, the movers are doing all the packing for you so you don’t have to lift a finger.
Why tip the movers?
When to tip the movers and how much should I tip the movers are questions we get from every customer. You are not obligated to tip the movers, because they are having their salary with the moving company you scheduled, but if you are happy with the service they provided it would be very nice to tip them. At the end of the day, it is heavy lifting we are talking about. How much to tip the movers is completely up to you.
Are the movers strong?
The movers are well trained and do preparations and trainings for any type of move. They are professionals with years of experience and know how much time and strength they need to lift particular items.
What movers won’t move?
Usually local movers won’t move anything they think it is unsafe to move and that is fair. You would rather have someone to tell you they can’t move a particular item than try to move it and damage it. Most of the moving companies have weight limits, which is different from company to company. Sales representative that is in charge to guide you through your moving process will ask you if you have anything unusually heavy to report and at that point they will let you know if they can handle it or not.
Movers who pack?
Every professional local moving company can provide you with both services, packing and moving. Every mover should go through training for both. If you are not sure whether that is the case with your preferred moving company, do not hesitate to ask them.
When movers break furniture?
We believe you booked a licenced and insured moving company for your local move and that is why if something gets damaged, they will take care of it. You need to start a claim process with your local movers and they will make sure to find the best possible solution for your move
